Okay, people...

... anyone else find this a bit amusing? The article is titled "Lactivists: Where is it OK to breastfeed?" and is about American squeamishness "over the sight of a nursing breast".

Apparently other sightings of breasts are okay. *sigh* Wouldn't want to confuse folks about what breasts are for, now would we? They're for selling stuff, of course...

The image is from the cover of the current issue of BabyTalk, a magazine published by Parenting. The featured article for the issue is why women don't nurse longer {article}. There's a nice PDF card "License to Breastfeed" available online which emphasizes that it's a woman's legal right to nurse wherever she sees fit — and most states have laws in place that protect her choice.

I saw this article and thought of you. What a crock! As a non-parent, I guess I have no right to think about breastfeeding BU
T damn I am tired of everyone thinking...OOOOH sex when they see a boob. God put them there to feed our children. In other countries a breast feeding mother is not unusual...Where did the US fall off the boat?
